Lisa Foster Speaking For Green Design Summit, June 29 & 30, 2009

lisa_fosterLisa inspired us to do the Green Design Summit when we met her in Los Angeles in January of 2009. We met to discuss bag orders as part of a promotion we were considering, and by the end of the conversation, we decided to do something bigger than that. Thank you , Lisa, for your inspiration and encouragement.

What we love about Lisa is her passion for the environment and her commitment to personally impacting the world.

Lisa Foster taught university and high school English for many years before starting 1 Bag at a Time.  After a trip to Australia in 2005, Lisa devoted herself to promoting the use of reusable bags in the US and North America. She has sold millions of bags across the US. She continues to work on public awareness about the impact of disposable bags and on a wider movement toward reusable bag use everywhere.

Lisa is a graduate of the Putney School and UC Berkeley, and has a PhD from USC.  An avid environmentalist, Lisa lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children who are actively involved in living green.

When you purchase a ticket to the Green Design Summit – one of your bonuses is a “Green Marketing Campaign”. Part of that Green Marketing Campaign involves Lisa’s bags. Lisa’s company will donate 10% of your bag purchases to Greensburg, Kansas to help with their green rebuilding efforts. We recommend that you purchase bags to give to your clients when you begin your “Green Marketing Campaign.”
