Did you miss Strategies to Avoid Interior Design Fee Fiascos?  If you did and still want to hear the recording, just sign up for the free ebook at the top right of the page and we’ll send the information to get the replay.

We had so many incredible comments and so many questions, too.  I’m working on them now, and you’ll have to be patient with me because I want to answer them thoroughly. We’ll be sending those over the next week or so.

If you missed it, it’s not too late to sign up for the replay.  I over-delivered especially for a free webinar.  I reinforce some long-standing good practices and you hear great insights on today’s consumers.  I’ve spent months researching to teach you what I did on this jam-packed 1 1/2 hour webinar.

You’re not going to learn that information from anyone else unless they decide to copy me…and there are competitors out there doing exactly that.  You know who you are…I encourage you to be original.

So…be sure and sign up for our free Interior Design Fee & Salary Survey eBook at the top right of this page, and we’ll send the free eBook and the information to get the free recording.

For our attendees…just post your biggest AHA or insight from the session and be sure to share why you’d recommend this to your peers.  We’ll select one person to receive a scholarship for the Value Based Fee System series and Group Coaching.  Make sure you do this by midnight, March 7th!

Thank you again for your kind words.  We really work hard for you!

PS…Save the Date!  March 24th starting at 10 Eastern, we’re celebrating DSU’s Second Birthday.  If you’d like to share your testimonials live on the call, please email us…we’d love to hear from you.  We have 10 industry leaders sharing their vision for the future of interior design, gifts and drawings all day, and 10 – 5 minute coaching topics.  I won’t have a voice at the end of the day!  It’s going to be fun, and we encourage you to invite all of your colleagues to this amazing day.

    Hi Gail,

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your website. I have been in business for 12 years and still struggling to figure out which is the best way to charge my clients. I will be attending your discussing this month but would like to know if there is anyway that I can listen to the one I missed in March?
  • Hi Deborah, thank you for saying so! We understand the challenges in the industry because it is ours, too. The webinar next week is refined from the March one, so I'd suggest that you just attend it. Thanks again for finding our site and joining our community!

An AHA! moment from this free webinar:

I LOVE to give my clients options during the design process but I never thought of giving them flat-free pricing options. This is a terrific idea!

Further, I just want to thank you for this webinar.....I got a lot of validation of my current thoughts and feelings about emotionally connecting with clients during the sales process as well as my thoughts of following my gut and turning down clients. I don't feel that I have completely determined how to emotional connect with each and every client and be able to determine their emotional motivation and aspirations; nor do I feel completely comfortable with qualifying all clients such that I could give them a value-based fee quote.....so I need your class!
  • Thank you for your comments, Cindy. Here's another thought. Before you or any designer can be good at qualifying, it starts with having true self confidence and a feeling of worthiness. I can help you to a point, but you do need to find that centered feeling and exude the confidence in a calm and pleasant way so your clients are drawn to you. I do hope you'll join us in the class. It is an approach that works.
  • Hi, Gail:

I'm so glad I could assist to the webinar! My biggest AHA S were 1- Realizing that we must use marketing techniques, and those you propose seem very good. 2- The Tiered Prices proposal is very logical and encouraging and the ideas you gave for that - lowest price for "what", middle and upper prices for added valuable services- a great AHA!!! As a consumer, if I can get a better service for a little more price, I do. This tips will be very valuable for our small Company and I feel so encouraged after many years of giving up Interior Design... It doesn't seem so difficult to me by now! At Interior Design School I wasn't taught such useful tips and they are absulotely necessary!!!
  • Hi Isabel, thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's nice to have our "global" friends participating. Marketing for designers is changing, and the tiered pricing approach can work. Also, the point that some may have missed is the importance of really giving the clients what they want...a Value Based Fee. Glad you could attend especially considering how late it was for you.
