The 11-week Marketing
Intensive and the 11-week Design Mastermind Program are for you if
you're ready for more business now and you don't want to struggle alone
any more!
You'll receive your first speaker recording for the Marketing Intensive Series on
September 7th, and the Design Mastermind Kick-off Call is on September 9th with the
Design Mastermind Group meetings starting the week of September 14th.

Hi,
My
name is Gail Doby and I started in interior design over 20 years ago
and built a successful and profitable practice. At the peak
of my business, I had 7 employees and my business reached almost
$900,000 in revenue.
Then
disaster struck...
I
remember where I was on the morning of 9/11. I was watching
the Today Show and drinking coffee before going to the
office. It was surreal to watch the World Trade Center
buildings crumble into a heap of smoldering rubble before my
eyes.
I
remember feeling shocked, saddened, and stunned. I called my
employees and told them not to go to work, and then I sat in horror and
watched TV the whole day.
The
rest of the week we were in a daze and I realized that the business would never be
the same.
Our
clients were terrified. They completed their projects, and once they
were finished, it was as if they were paralyzed with fear. The
phones stopped ringing.
Like
many other businesses, I had to lay off employees.
It was emotionally
devastating after years of working 7 days a week
to bring in business, support my employees, manage the staff and make
payroll.
I
took a few marketing classes and had an advisory board, but I really
didn't have anyone to turn to that could help me figure out what to
do.
9/11
was a blessing
in disguise.
Ironically, I realized that I really didn't want to have a large staff
with expensive overhead. It was the perfect storm of an
external and an internal crisis.
I
let go of my fears and frustrations and I redesigned the business to be
more
efficient and profitable with less employees and fewer headaches.
Business
got easier, and I enjoyed it
more.
I
never worked for another firm, and it took me years to figure out by trial and error
how to build and successfully run a business. I made lots of mistakes,
and knowing what I know now, I want to help you avoid those same
expensive and stressful mistakes.
We're
experiencing another perfect storm with the recession. It is
affecting your client's sense of security in a more personal and
emotional way, and it can't help but affect you, too.
And what's worse...even
the wealthiest
clients have seen their net worth slashed by as much as 50%.
And what's more... they are reacting by postponing decisions,
delaying payments and negotiating harder
because they have control of the money. Clients are questioning everything
and they are taking charge like never before.
Isn't this one of the most frustrating times you've ever experienced in
your business? You went to school to do something you were
passionate about, and I would bet you're surprised at how much work it
takes to run a small business.
Many things have changed, and if you're working alone or in a small
firm, it is hard to know what to do and know what
works best.
Bottom line is...based on the results of our recent survey, every one
of you is feeling the effects of the recession. 90% of you said you need
or want more business now.
You can't build a stable business without having a strong marketing foundation.
Many designers rely on referrals, and though they are the bedrock of a
successful marketing strategy, even the best designers could do better with
asking for referrals.
Have you ever felt embarrassed
to ask your clients for a referral? Would you like to know how to do it easily and
effectively without feeling awkward?
Here's the thing...even if you are outstanding at getting referrals,
you can't build a stable business on that one technique
alone. A one or two-legged stool doesn't stand, a
three-legged stool is better, but it can still tip over, but a stool
with lots of legs can support almost anyone.
It's OK that you don't have all of the answers. Most design schools don't
prepare you with the marketing skills you need to be profitable and
successful. Trial
and error can literally cost you tens of thousands of dollars and years
of frustration.
Buying expensive magazine ads is certainly not the answer.
And...although referrals account for 80% of most designer's marketing,
in a slow economy, it won't keep you busy.
On top of that, no one really teaches how to integrate technology, social media,
Internet marketing, the new psychology of clients, low cost or no cost
marketing, branding, and many more advanced strategies
into your business...until now.
Would you like to know what social media you should be
using now? These
strategies are free!
You don't have to pay a dime to use social media, and with today's
budgets being tighter than ever, you need to know how to effectively
use them together.
Learning all of the new technology might seem overwhelming and
confusing, but we'll simplify it and tell you the best strategies to
use now.
Maybe you're still
striving to get that WOW project that gets published in national
magazines. Maybe you want to work with the
ultra-affluent. Maybe you're frustrated that your
clients don't value your design skills, and even worse, they question
your bills.
Even if you are a seasoned designer with 20+ years of experience, I
guarantee you you'll learn at least 1 or
2 valuable techniques to increase your business.
Especially if you are new to the business, you don't want to miss this Marketing Intensive
series. There's nothing else like it in our
industry.
We've taken the best speakers from our popular Interior Design Summits
and Quick Start classes and we've added a few new ones that will teach
you the hottest
marketing strategies, too.
In fact...you'll hear well over 136 new marketing tips and

one or two of them and implement them one at a time, you will be amazed

it. Our business is up 150% over 2008 and we attribute it to
our Mastermind Group.
Why
are we pairing the Marketing Intensive with the Design Mastermind
Program? Because if you don't take action, nothing will
change. Your mastermind group will keep you focused and on
track. You'll wish you'd been in one from the beginning of
your business.

Before I Forget...
There
is one more thing I want you to know. I didn't say this
before because I don't think it matters. What we will do
together is what counts.
What I am going to tell you may surprise you. But I hope you
agree that it shouldn't interfere with our relationship.
Everything I've told you is true about my business
experience. I've built a successful interior design business
and I've been featured in national magazines as well as many local
magazines and newspapers.
And, I've built a successful Internet business. I started
studying Social Media and Internet Marketing in 2007. Since
last October, Erin and I have grown Design Success University 150% in
the first six months of the year. We are on target to grow
our business 400% by the end of 2009.
We are using the latest technology and strategies to grow our business,
and I'll teach you some of those same strategies to grow your own
business, too.
This didn't happen over night, so even if I teach you these strategies,
you may not achieve the same results. But, if you could even
increase your business by 10% if you're doing $100,000 in revenue
– getting $10,000 more in sales – it will more than
pay for the cost of the Marketing Intensive plus the Design Mastermind
program.

able to launch my bi-weekly newsletter and went from 20

grew over 1100% in 4 months!"
The

always new things to learn...and getting the latest tips

wonderful!
Everyone shared so generously and had relevant

"Brimming with information and
helpful tips that could take us
a lifetime to learn from trial and error"
My brain is on overload and my heart is full! The
Summit was a little like a retreat experience. You
included information that is simply not taught in design
schools.
I want to say
thank you for all that you both put into this endeavor.
Not only are you knowledgeable in our industry, but you
seem to really know what is important. As much as I am
impressed by the content of the Summit, I am impressed
by the consistent theme of authenticity, genuineness,
relating to people, giving back to the community, and
building relationships and trust.
It would be so
easy to expect seminars based purely on profit-boosting,
marketing and selling; so to hear the importance
stressed of honesty, ethics and integrity truly blew
me away!
I feel like my
whole world expanded as a result of the Summit.
