Theme - August 25th - Faux Finishing & Bridging Design Styles
We just added some specialty finishes to two cabinets a client purchased at retail. We looked for a year to find something at the Denver Design Center, and we were't able to find anything that she liked.
She loves the shapes of these two commodes, and to make them work in the space, we added some metallic stencilling over a glazed wash. I say that as the "royal we" meaning our faux finisher created this beautiful result.
Our client was out of town when we decided on the colors and design. We made her promise (teasingly asked for blood) to accept the final decision her husband and I made on the finish, but it was still stressful. She emailed me yesterday to say she "loved, loved, loved the colors and the result." Whew!
